Hi Adrian,

With regards to global tables — is it do the routing purely based on where the users connection is coming from ?

I am building a new system where I am allowing the customers to add multiple regions (multinationals etc), and therefore ensure that each regions data is keep only in that region to comply with customer data protection laws in those regions. Customer data cannot at all be kept outside that region. This is applicable even if they are only in one region if that region has those laws — so it is imperative that the data region is explicitly selectable and that data is only stored in that region.

Reading what you’ve written global tables would not work at all — because everything is replicated everywhere. Doing that would immediately violate those laws.

Any thoughts on this scenario ?

Thanks,

Matthew
